Rent Prices Rise 6 Percent

Rent prices were up another 6% in January after near record increases all of last year.  With this latest increase, which is above the national average, the market shows that more rent hikes are on the way.

In 2015 net leasing in DFW totaled 18,754 units which is significantly ahead of demand in other top markets including Houston, Washington D.C., and Atlanta.  Less than 5% of North Texas Apartments were vacant at the end of the year.  Experts anticipate the prices to be near their peak because 40,000 apartments are being built in the area and more than half with open this year.
